The adventures and opinions of a mom who'd rather be shopping than going to IEP meetings. Nitzy Fritz is an expression my dad made up. It means tchochkes, small items that serve no purpose except to gather dust.

My Interview
Here is a link to my recent interview with Patricia Robinson, a therapist who works with individuals on the autism spectrum.
I am a: mother of two humans and one dog, marathon runner, film studies instructor, card-carrying Episcopalian, Democrat. I am half Irish. I grew up in a military family. I don't eat mushrooms, eggs, shrimp or those miniature corn cob thingies. I do my own nails. I get motion sickness. I have curly hair and frequent nightmares. I believe in God, love, truth, education, art and hard work. I don't believe in shame, oppression, corporate tax shelters, trickle-down economics, or paying full price. XOXO
